How to Log-On
Logging on to the Deep Blue Wireless network
is easy. To get started, you will need the following
items:
- Laptop computer
- WiFi (802.11b) PC card (many laptops
have built-in cards)
- Public Access Location
- Wireless Internet Service Plan
Detailed instructions are included at every
location, which guide you through each step in
setting up your laptop.
- Install the drivers which came with the PC
Card
- Set the Network Name (or SSID) to
'public' or the SSID indicated at each location; leave all other settings in their
default state
- When inside a public access location, insert
your PC Card, open your Internet browser and
click the Register button (new users), or enter
your
User ID and Password and go online!
